Growing up & HOW!

Growing up is a journey of?twists and turns, Good times and bad times, Jolly times and sad times. But Life goes On & On! And no matter where you are right now, in some way, you carry the values — and that’s what makes it so?magnificent.

Let’s go back where the Journey had started, Remember running back home just to see favourite cartoon shows and sing the title track? The jingles which were the code back then? From Shakitmaan to Duck Tales?

Cartoons and animated movies often act as a value addition to teach a lesson that helped us imbibe some values and morals, Apart from being entertaining, these cartoons keep messages for consumption by the younger generation. While these are still helpful for big people like us! Let me run you through the values that I felt can be incorporated by us in the Tech Savvy Modern Era -?

LET’S - YABAAA - DABBAA – DOO !

>> Demonstration of having a smart side is okay, in fact, it’s awesome! You can either feel smug about being ahead of the curve or it’s your turn to shine with endless knowledge to share with the team. Build a Swat Cat team of your own! It’s awesome to be a nerd, Aye!

Dexter. How he amazingly managed to keep that favourite lab hidden from his parents, we’ll never know, but what we do know, is that this nerd taught us that?being different is cool?and?it’s awesome to be a nerd.

> > Courage isn’t the absence of aversion, but the acceptance that something else is more valuable than fear. Don’t let your fears stop you! So Go Ahead take up the new assignment! Get out of that cosy Comfort Zone.

Courage the Cowardly Dog?taught us that?being afraid is normal?(though perhaps extreme in Courage’s case). His adventures on the farm with his owners Muriel and Eustace remind us that?we can do anything for the people we love, even if we’re afraid at first.

> >One should be more positive while coming to work, Try to be happy, positive and optimistic. A positive attitude helps you cope better to save the small world we have!?Focus on your own happiness, well-being, and emotional intelligence as a step toward creating a great surrounding! So Smile! Save the World!

Kim Possible taught us that one should never give up & stay Positive. Though Kim was just a teenager that did not stop her from saving Planet Earth!?Kim always was positive about doing things & Continues to do it.?So Stay Positive! Stay Assertive! Conquer the world!

> > Be a team player & be open to other people’s ideas and perspectives that means sharing Knowledge & adapting the diversity, being receptive to feedback from co-workers. Working with the team as an Integral resource, like a key to an unsolved puzzle. Go Ahead & Join the team at The Expendables! ?

Fred is a popular cartoon character in the show called?Scooby Do. He is actually a secret agent tasked with stopping the bad guys with the help of the team & His Best Friends. All the members of the team have very different?personalities?but they work (and play) really well together & Fred is the charmer of all!

>> Grow with a vision & apply your full force to work on that, everyone has a leader inside him & one should constantly work to bring it out, But what we need is - Passion. This gives life a purpose, without a goal we can’t grow. So just do whatever you love and you’ll always find happiness. Always believe in yourself. Go & Steal the Moon Buddy!

Mr Gru from Despicable definitely knew this from an early age, His entrepreneurial pursuits to make money for all?his beloved Minions and his desire for fame and fortune in the neighbourhood taught us that?not only you should dream big but also should have a purpose around. So Go! Find THAT DREAM AND LIVE THAT! YEAH?

I’ve realized however that it’s not just the cartoons from yesteryear that had messages for us, but even most of the Jingles too. Thanks for reading! :)
