Growing Together: SACE Initiative for Sustainable Agriculture and Community Empowerment
?
As a dedicated social worker and innovator, I have been passionately advocating for sustainable agriculture and community empowerment since 2012. My background in serving refugees and asylum seekers, as featured in Medium
https://medium.com/latterly/how-one-man-hid-162-refugee-children-from-thai-police-80afc6669568?, has equipped me with a unique understanding of the importance of addressing traumatic conditions and frustrations.
?
I am grateful for the guidance and support of Ma'am Galya Benarieh Ruffer, J.D., Ph.D., Director, Center for Forced Migration Studies, Buffett Institute for Global Studies, and Senior Lecturer of Political Science at Northwestern University. She is a good listener and great motivator; I didn't find a supportive person like her in Pakistan yet, otherwise, I would have created history. She used to listen to my seven ideas in one sentence, refining them for me and giving me a chance to learn more and serve better by giving me chance to participate in UNHCR Annual Consultations with NGOs at the International Conference Centre Geneva (ICCG). Unfortunately, insufficient funds held me back from this great learning and networking opportunity.
?
While serving refugees, I learned a lot from various organizations, including the Asia Pacific Refugees Rights Network (APRRN), ICVA Network, Global Peace Foundation, Asylum Access, JRS, and many more. Above all, social work is my passion, and I am driven to serve communities regardless of their religious and ethnic backgrounds. I always focus on preparedness, prevention, and addressing traumatic conditions and frustrations. Traumatic conditions always lead to public frustration, and in frustration, the public brings back mind filters, making it difficult to build public opinion and new narratives, even positive ones. The public becomes unpredictable and behaves unexpectedly, making it challenging to lead or control them. I always take frustrations as opportunities.
?
For example, during floods, I gave the seeds distribution idea to the nation. Alkhidmat Foundation distributed seeds among flood victims, pulling them out of traumatic conditions and addressing different Social & sustainable Development Goals simultaneously. The public got motivated and went to cultivation, leading to Pakistan's record wheat production. My vision idea of seed distribution among flood victims was projected on National TV Channel on Center Stage with Rehman Azhar on Express News (September 15, 2022), turning frustrations from floods into opportunities https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cd-ScatqC0 .
?
In 2020, I pioneered an innovative agricultural approach, cultivating barren lands to address global challenges. This vision was presented and showcased on more than 10 TV channels and in newspapers. Now Agriculture Barren lands cultivation is a mandate of ?the state and the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). By harnessing the potential of barren lands, we can enhance agricultural productivity and food security, empower local communities, foster sustainable environmental practices, and support economic growth and development.
?
My vision for barren lands cultivation aligns with the SIFC's objectives and has the potential to transform the agricultural landscape, ensuring a more food-secure and sustainable future for all and initiated projects in Dera Ismail Khan. My approach focuses on preparedness and prevention, and I have been promoting my agro vision through various channels, including TV and newspapers, since 2020 including social media.
?
I understand that my problem is that I say seven ideas in one sentence, which is very difficult for others to understand. However, I believe that thinking outside the box and presenting innovative solutions is essential to creating history and driving positive change.
?
My agro innovation combines for-profit and non-profit experiences and offers a unique barren land agricultural real estate multiple cropping with fruits orchard model, which is more effective than the other model. Fruit trees will give a boost to forests. By barren lands cultivation, we can uplift economic conditions of the public and the state. It will address different social development goals SDGs and sustainable development goals like climate change, food security, poverty, livelihoods, inflation, hunger, environment, women & widows skills/livelihoods. I will take youth & entrepreneurship to the next level by uplifting different industries without any investment by the State. All actions will increase public ownership, which is much needed, and will also increase exports, tax payers, revenues, and jobs. It will also promote Peace, dignity, and equality.

During floods, my idea of seeds distribution was implemented, leading to record wheat production in Pakistan. My approach focuses on addressing traumatic conditions and frustrations, which can lead to public suffering and decreased credibility among stakeholders. I believe that my agro innovation can increase public ownership, promote peace, dignity, and equality, and be replicated in 77 developing countries with the support of SIFC.
?
We don't get revolutionary innovations in inheritance or in books. I am only trying to play a vital role in the development of Pakistan. I want to take my agricultural innovation to the 77 developing countries and beyond. I assure you all that my innovation can play a vital role for all interested; it will be joint venture. Growing Together: SACE Initiative for Sustainable Agriculture and Community Empowerment is a call to action for a sustainable future. Join us in harnessing the power of agriculture to build a better world for all.
