Growing our Talent Tree - 2021 Reflection

With another challenging year coming to a close, we are looking back at 2021 from the eyes of MatchMove’s ‘core’ - the employees.?

At MatchMove, we strongly believe that the culture that is nurtured from within is the ultimate motivation for a company’s success. With COVID-19’s unfortunate persistence restraining many to meet their loved ones, we did not let it dampen our spirits. We garnered this opportunity to strengthen our bonds as one MatchMove family. With high cases in India earlier this year, we reached out to our Indian family and helped them with cash, kind, insurance, and any other way we could.?

Our strategic partnership with Nityo InfoTech brought us immense resources to tap into for faster market launches - like opening up office spaces for our employees in Hong Kong and India to start - which brings the essence of working together as one family into prime action. We saw our employees enjoying coming back to the Bangalore office of Nityo, which we could leverage provided by Nityo’s investment. Bringing the team together under one roof definitely helped to strengthen the bond! Check out the offices here:?

From team stand-ups to power-up and all-hands meetings, to team-building exercises and fun activities, let’s look at a few of the highlights that brought everyone together.?

At this year's Power Up (a 2 days strategy meeting we hold every year), despite the fact that we could not bring the team together physically in Singapore,? we still managed to run the activity over zoom and continue to stay connected!? This year, we introduced challenge statements for the management team to work on and we brought everyone closer while we were hacking the challenge statements. From reviewing the year to strategizing initiatives for next year and engaging in team-building exercises, we did it all while connecting everyone virtually!

It's never a dull day at the office! We are a family who works together hard and parties together harder! We celebrated talents in-house as ‘MatchMove Got Talent’ and enjoyed the artists in our employees - from drummers to jingle singing - we had it all!?

Nearing Christmas, we did something fun and unique - Guess Who? - where a MatchMover anonymously characterized another MatchMover’s voice or actions, recorded an audio file for others to guess who. Leaving everyone with merry, laughter, and happy vibes, the event brought out the true essence of Christmas.?Since it’s the gifting season, we have also donated proceeds from the sale of our company used laptops to the FoodBank Singapore.

Last but not the least, our employees talk regarding what they love about being a MatchMover. 'Teamwork, Empathizer, Growth-oriented, Aspirational, Openwork culture, Lots of learning, Fun place to work, Feels like a family' were a few of the thoughts that most of the MatchMovers feel.?

Some of us came and donated blood. There was a repetition of similar critical hospitalization, this time involving Mom, Dad, and I, when we contracted the Covid virus and were admitted for a couple of weeks. Had they not been covered under the parental insurance scheme, would have a huge financial burden on the family.
