Growing Interest of Japanese Companies in Developing Their IT Business in Uzbekistan
Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan conducted a meeting with nine Japanese IT companies, coordinated by the consulting firm MIKADO Develop and Investment Co., Ltd., led by Mr. Takefumi Okuda. The purpose of the meeting was to attract Japanese partner companies of MIKADO Develop and Investment Co., Ltd. to the Uzbek market.
MIKADO Develop and Investment Co., Ltd. is a prominent consulting firm assisting Japanese companies in entering international markets by establishing their representative offices in other countries or investing in local projects.
The meeting was attended by representatives and executives from the following Japanese companies: Globadge LLC, Fujii Shipping Service Co., Ltd., Takoaya Co., Ltd., Mishona Co., Ltd., Lives Inc., Assembler Star Co., Ltd., Acrox Holdings, and Asset Management. These companies provide services across various business sectors. For instance, Mishona Co., Ltd. offers internet marketing services while also developing its own system for distributing L Message (Herme) accounts. Acrox Holdings provides consulting services for business development and creation, while Lives Inc. focuses on real estate design, construction, and sales.
Moreover, the meeting participants from the Japanese side included companies specializing in online medicine and delivery services. IT Park representatives suggested establishing local offices in Fergana and exporting these services to Japan, noting the presence of a significant number of Japanese-speaking talents in Fergana, particularly in the Rishtan district.

Foreign guests were particularly interested in Uzbekistan’s human capital — currently, the growth rate of the working-age population in Uzbekistan is one of the republic’s key advantages for countries in the Asia-Pacific region, including Japan. In this regard, Japanese companies inquired about local salary ranges and the skill levels of professionals for outsourcing to the Japanese market.
Furthermore, IT Park representatives briefed the Japanese guests on Uzbekistan’s stable and growing economy, emphasizing favorable conditions for investors. They also highlighted the dynamic development of the IT sector and government efforts to create a conducive business environment.
In conclusion, an agreement was reached to continue discussions and explore the presence of Japanese companies in the Uzbek market. The guests were invited to ICT Week 2024, where a business session for Japanese companies in collaboration with IT Park Uzbekistan was proposed.
This partnership underscores the increasing interest of Japanese companies in outsourcing through Uzbekistan and contributes to attracting foreign investments, creating new job opportunities, and advancing high-tech industries.
