Growing in God’s Word
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." - 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV
The Bible is not merely a collection of stories or wise sayings; it's the very breath of God, given to us for our instruction, correction, and training in righteousness.
In this world filled with distractions and competing voices, it's easy for us to neglect the Word of God. Yet, the Bible is absolutely essential for our Christian walk; it is our source for spiritual growth. It is our guide and spending time studying it helps us to grow closer to God.
Is it a priority for me to study, memorize, and meditate upon Scripture? It's a convicting question to ask ourselves, isn't it? It's one that challenges us to take seriously our relationship with God and our commitment to His Word.
We know that it's not enough to just attend a church that values Scripture. We individually must personally engage with the Word of God. We must continue in its teachings, day in and day out, even when it's difficult or inconvenient.

Yes, the Christian life requires daily obedience, even in the small things. It's in these daily small acts of faithfulness that we truly demonstrate our love for God and grow in our relationship with Him.
Let's prioritize time each day to immerse ourselves in the depths of God's Word, allowing it to shape our hearts and minds. And let's remember that it's not about achieving greatness or knowledge for ourselves but about humbly submitting to the greatness of our God, who has graciously given us His Word for our growth.
May we be faithful stewards of this precious gift, knowing that through it, we are thoroughly equipped for every good work.
