Growing Fins

I've spent a lifetime being the go-to person. In high school I took responsibility for water safety and education. As a work-study student in college I ended up running a full set of student wellness services and drove a significant body of research analysis in healthcare. It just built from there. I'd walk in, prove my capabilities, and be set free to go do -- and build.
I was also known for developing others. I've always believed this was the most valuable work I was doing. People around me liked the results. It was great to see talented young people grow into managers, and eventually take on leadership roles. Yet this was often mentioned as a side-benefit, a cute little hobby that I was welcome to do when I had extra time.
Developing people is not part of the work I do at Pariveda. It is the work.
I’m celebrating my 1st Fin-iversary! I joined the Pariveda team as Vice President in Houston last year, and have experienced more investment in my professional and personal development in one year than I have in the last 25 years combined. And I've also grown tremendously in my ability to coach and develop others. It's remarkable.
Here's why. Pariveda was established with a clearly defined set of values around developing people and growing our company. These are not platitudes we promote on glossy paper and then push aside when tough decisions arrive. We consistently maintain these values by only bringing people into the organization who are committed to the mission of developing our Fins to their fullest potential. In our recent weekly update from Kerry Stover, our COO, he states:
"Our design requires a unique selfless nature of leadership not driven to build for great personal gain but to build for the employees. It requires leaders who are accountable for current performance, balancing short-term financials with long-term investments in seeking to build a firm that grows across multiple generations of leadership."
We seek to be difference-makers in our industry and the communities where we live by continually learning, dedicating ourselves to coaching, and giving back. These commitments flow through every aspect of how we operate -- both internally, and with our clients.
We serve clients ranging from Fortune 100 to Global 2000 to startup companies, and span multiple industries in the thriving cities of Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington D.C. Pariveda is employee-owned, and we provide incredible benefits for our people. We are what we believe.
Learn. Coach. Give.
