Grow Your Own Guru... the book

This book has been (like a seed) waiting for the right conditions to sprout for 3 years.

The spark emerged during a holiday in Norfolk (county in the east of England) when I thought

I could fucking do that (write a book)

It was was my vote of faith that I did indeed have something valuable to say (a reaction to a very successful book and associated career growth community that I was reading about at the time). A genuine spark is a strong feeling.

It is something that has quietly smouldered and the feeling is just as strong now as it was then.

An exercise to identify the spark is something we are working on in the Earthaconter Community at the moment. It is the personal experience and feeling that is the catalayst for a 'project'. It is critical because it provides the energy for this for years to come.

My feeling was that I could I write a book that was better than the one that I was aware of. It was proof of the feeling of increasing self-confidence and faith in myself which wasn't rapidly accompanied by self questioning. I just believed.

It has been sprouting over the last few months with several pieces of writing (starting with the title).

It will be accompanied by a community to support those who are inspired to put into practice becoming their own guru.

We are all experts in ourselves so who better to guide us through work and life?

My writing energy is now being directed towards this project so I will stop writing this newsletter for the time being.
