We believe verification should be free for everyone on LinkedIn, which is why we are adding three new verification features, aiming to bolster authenticity and trust among users. LinkedIn is partnering with CLEAR, a secure identity platform, for U.S. members to verify their identities using government-issued IDs and phone numbers. Additionally, users can now verify their workplaces with their company email addresses or through Microsoft Entra, a digital workplace ID platform. Available and free to all members, these features will be rolled out gradually, with the goal of fostering confidence in user connections and content authenticity.
