You have to admit that sounds like a pretty enticing proposition. Who wouldn’t like that. Selling their products and services online without having to sell or do a dreaded sales call.?
I’ve been helping people that help people help more people online since 2005. And the same lie about internet marketing still is prevalent. Passive income. Place an ad online and send people to a video that does the selling while you make money in your sleep.??
While I will agree that this is very possible. If you want to maximize your impact and income you need to have a process.? A process that builds massive rapport with your prospects.
Here is my thought process when putting a value on rapport.
Amount of time with your prospect????Depth of their transformation = Value of earned rapport or strength of connection
I even used this above formula when considering the length of this post, and the amount of paradigm shifting tips to include...?
Are you uncomfortable selling your products or services on the phone? It's most likely because of a lack of rapport built through your current process.?
When you have a massive amount of rapport with your clients, the sales process is effortless. Prospects come to you knowing that you can already help them. You get to a place of service to others and don’t sell from a needy place of I need this sale for me.??
When this happens it completely flips the dynamics of your sales call. Your strategy calls are just that, strategy.? You get to see how you can best help your prospect with your best strategies and processes.???
The most overlooked way to gain massive amounts of rapport is to host an in person event. Events allow you to have your prospects undivided attention for many hours at a time.?
We have more distractions than ever in our lives. Entrepreneurs sometimes overlook the value of time spent with their prospect.?

DECIDE WHAT FORMAT YOU WOULD LIKE FOR THE EVENT
I have had both free and paid events yield very good results. Anything over 2 hours needs to be a paid event to keep the energy/money exchange in check. If you’re new to hosting an event, start with a 90 minute preview event. These are the roots of the seminar world for over 20 years. They work extremely well as an entry point for getting prospects to ascend up your value ladder.
MAKE SURE THE MESSAGING FOR YOUR PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS IS CLEAR.
A confused person does nothing! Clear messaging will get more people to register or buy your event.? Having this dialed in will also make sure aligned people are in the audience. This will allow you to sell more of your high value services. DON'T WAIT TILL THE END OF THE EVENT TO MAKE YOUR OFFER.
Many people wait till the end of their event to make their offer. This is not optimal. Most people are trying to reconnect with someone they met, or are mentally already on their way home.?
LESS TECH IS BETTER THAN MORE TECH.
After putting all the work into promoting, and hosting your event, you don’t want the tech to ruin it.? A bad internet connection or computer will turn a great day into a stressful one.? Don’t use online scheduling at the hotel or venue. When your event is over its best to use clipboards and a paper calendar to schedule appointments. As a bonus this will create real scarcity as people see the calendar filling up when they go to the back of the room.??
HAVE YOUR CALL TO ACTION BE THEIR NEXT STEP TO CONTINUE TRANSFORMATION.
Having scheduling a call with you to see how you can help them seems like the next logical step to continue the goodness. It’s natural human behavior for use to want to complete something we started. Tap into that and your after event call schedule percentage will be as high as 50%.
MAKE SURE YOUR SALES PROCESS IS EFFECTIVE.
Your hard efforts on the steps above will be thrown in the trash if you don’t know how to have a sales conversation. If you don’t have a process. Get one. When you do all the prior steps right, your sales process will be effortless. Be sure that you are asking the right questions of your prospect. When you’re asking the right questions, they will give you the gold you need to get the sale. Take control of the call and you should be listening 70% of the time. Always take notes and circle important information to help you bring in the sale.?

It’s always easier going down an unfamiliar road with someone who already has walked the path you’re on.
