FOREWORD

It certainly is a distinct honor and gives me great delight to respond to this opportunity to pen the foreword of this masterpiece. I have known The author for approximately 32 years now. Upon meeting him, my heart greatly rejoiced and mouth was made glad. I watched him grow up in the things of God, including the work of the ministry. He has always has demonstrated for zeal for God, and ensured that it was always according to knowledge. Once you are in his presence, you will experience the infectious joy of the Lord emanating from him. To the extent that it is a personification of comfort, encouragement, and edification.

God has used him to passionately transform lives of others as a New Testament minister of the Gospel of Christ. This is exactly what the author of Grow Up Now intended with the composition of this book. His vision is to transform lives one mind at a time, while helping believers take on a “fierce urgency of now” to Grow Up in Christ, so no formed weapon against them would prevent them from “apprehending their true position” as members in The Body of Christ.”

When it comes to “perfecting the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,” Apostle Paul wrote in the book of Ephesians:

"Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man." (Ephesians 4:13 KJV)

We know that in this context the word perfect does not mean “to be impeccable” but rather “to be of full age, fully grown, to grow or mature.” The Amplified Bible says, “that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood.” This is God’s expectation for believers in general and especially “newborn babes:” to “desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby” (1 Peter 2:2). But the word "desire" has been both misconceived and neglected. Like the principle of faith, it too has substance and of things hoped for. Also, it is ever-present, not only in the now but right now! However, too many believers have left it up to God and neglected to take any self-initiative, when the word "you" in the aforementioned passage of scripture is the understood subject; therefore, it is incumbent upon every believer to take the initiative to long for, crave for or desire the word of God. The best way to take on the initiative to desire the word of God is to expose yourself to the word of God, just like you expose yourself to natural thing and have inside a desire created for the same.

The author addresses this and other initiatives in this insightful study with proven steps that are both practical and simple. “Like a skilled surgeon, with knife in hand, he dissects and delineates” how believers can take on the “fierce urgency” to Grow Up Now! By the anointing of the Holy Spirit, he also challenges believers to never stop growing for the said purpose of moving on to the fulfillment of maturity.

If you ever seen a mature "believer in Christ" exuding the joy of the Lord and said: “I sure wish I was like him or her. I want to be like you one day. Or, you asked yourself how can I grow up in Christ?”?Then you must read this book.
