The Great Escape: How Team India Mastered the Art of Ducking Pakistan

Cricket is a game of courage, skill, and sportsmanship—or so we thought until we saw how the Indian cricket team treats a tour to Pakistan. With the Champions Trophy 2025 knocking at the door, every team is gearing up for an electrifying tournament—except one. Yes, you guessed it: India, the masters of excuses, the grand champions of "we-just-don’t-feel-like-it," and the only cricket team that fears Pakistani pitches more than a spinner fears dew at night.

Mission: Avoid Pakistan at All Costs

For years, India has made it a personal mission to not play Pakistan in Pakistan, citing everything from “security concerns” to “our astrologer advised against it.” Their latest excuse? The usual “terrorism threats”—a tale so old and overused that even Bollywood wouldn't dare remake it.

Funny how every other international team—Australia, England, Sri Lanka, South Africa—has played in Pakistan recently and survived to tell the tale. But for India? The moment Pakistan is mentioned, their security concerns become more serious than a Bollywood hero’s mother’s illness in the final act.

Excuse Factory at Work

Here’s a look at the Top 5 Hilarious Excuses India has made over the years to avoid Pakistan:

  1. "Our Players’ Safety is at Risk!"
  2. "The Conditions Don’t Suit Us!"
  3. "The ICC Will Move It to Dubai Anyway"
  4. "We Are Focused on Bilateral Series Instead"
  5. "Pakistan is Not a Stable Country"

The Truth: India Just Can’t Handle the Heat!

Let’s be real—India’s reluctance to play in Pakistan isn’t about safety, it’s about fear.

  • Fear of losing on Pakistani soil and giving Pakistan the ultimate bragging rights.
  • Fear of Shaheen Afridi's lethal bowling.
  • Fear of Babar Azam smashing their best bowlers to all corners of the ground.
  • Fear of Pakistan dominating them in front of a roaring Lahore or Karachi crowd.

Final Thoughts: India, Just Say You’re Scared!

Instead of manufacturing new excuses, maybe India should just be honest and say: “We’re scared of playing Pakistan in Pakistan.” No shame in that—at least it’s the truth!

So, while the world enjoys the Champions Trophy in Pakistan, India will probably be hosting an intense cricket match in Dubai… against Afghanistan… in front of a half-empty stadium… while pretending that they’re "focusing on other priorities."

Moral of the Story? Some teams play cricket, while others play hide and seek. Guess which one India is playing? ??
