Grow up for the Great Commission!

Grow up for the Great Commission!

Growing up is a slow, painful process that most would prefer to avoid if possible. In fact, today we have a generation that prefers to avoid it as long as possible. The normal suffering that one must endure isn’t really all that bad; but when there is a refusal to suffer instruction, the suffering will be greatly multiplied. Suffering for the right reasons will always bring a good result; but suffering because we are in our own SELF WILL can bring a lot of unnecessary pain and heartache. Today the Church of our Lord Jesus is suffering in some parts of the world for the right reasons, leading many to the righteousness of God, many are receiving forgiveness of sin and being born again in Christ, and bringing spiritual growth and rich blessing to all the faithful. As stated by our Lord Jesus: “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you” (Matthew 5:10-12).

However, in many nations of the world the Church of our Lord is suffering because of her love of the world and the things of the world, and our Father is doing as He promised, “to chasten the Son whom He loves.” (Hebrews 12:6) The Church also is suffering because of an unhealthy desire to grow in numbers and a disregard for her need to grow in the Spirit and the love of God. It is time for the Church to grow up. However, we need not be discouraged or dismayed, for “it is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.” (Lamentations 3:22). Friends we need to take courage; the purpose of God will not fail; God sent His only begotten Son into the world with a plan to bring many sons into glory. We are informed, “For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.” (Hebrews 2:10). Jesus Christ did not suffer in vain; and in the same way that He was made perfect in suffering, our Heavenly Father is perfecting the body of Christ today. If only we could understand how great it will be when we come into maturity, we would be more than willing to suffer anything that comes our way. “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”(Romans 8:18). Sometimes when children are growing quickly they will suffer growing pains. Likewise those who have received the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting the redemption of our body (Romans 8:23). That’s not all, friends, but the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8:19-22). Now is the time for the faithful shepherd boys to collect their small stones, take their slings and bring down the giants in the land who are intimidating the Lord’s mighty army. It is time to grow up and be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. Where are they? Who among us will come and fight in the Lord’s army? Today we need those who have counted the cost, those who know who they want to serve and are not ready to turn back until we take the inheritance that belongs to the Captain of our salvation. Friends the world is ignorant of the forgiveness of in that we received when Jesus died on the Cross and was buried, His resurrection gave us a new beginning in Christ, God has called us through His TRUTH to deliver people from this ignorance of the Cross. Beloved let’s be men whom our Father would be pleased to call His sons––full-grown sons of the living God. “Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I. Send me!". Lets stop the sales pitch to people trying to win souls for our organizations and denominations, instead lets win souls for Christ, the growth of the church is determined by how much of Christ is formed individually relative to just numbers, you are better off in a small tent that preaches the truth of Christ than to be a in big that preaches deception focused on feeding the desires of the flesh.  Friends I submit to you that our greatest need is to rediscover the gospel of Jesus Christ and to proclaim it to all the ends of the earth, for some of you that God has given you grace financially I urge you to support Mission work, as Christ laid His life for us, lets do the same for our brothers and sisters that have taken the bold step to live preaching the gospel (1 John 3:16). It is our prayer that we will all wake to the command of Christ for us to “GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES”, Instead of investing so much in making the church match the standards of the world by God’s grace lets invest more in Missions to reach those that have not heard of Jesus Christ those that are still ignorant to the righteousness of God who is Jesus Christ. In the words of John Wesley we  have one business on earth – to save souls. “The best remedy for a sick church is to put it on a missionary diet.”― David Livingstone. The mission of the church is missions, lets be united blind to denominations, blind to our needs but focused on God’s mandate to us to win souls, to lead many to His righteousness, to eternal forgiveness of sin and new birth in Christ, that way I am certain of a Gospel Driven Society that is focused in eternal legacy as opposed to the temporary earth legacy that the world is obsessed with. How do I receive eternal forgiveness of sin and new birth in Christ? By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren-1 John 3:16
