A special celebration of London Tech Week
In a very special celebration of how technology is transforming the way we lead our lives, we brought together tech leaders from around the world at Somerset House – for a celebration during London Tech Week.
Joined by global innovators, we heard from our CEO Laura Citron OBE and the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan , as they spoke about how our values of openness and diversity give us a competitive advantage globally, the importance of tech with purpose, and how there are more overseas students studying in London than any other city in the world.
Laura Citron, CEO of London & Partners: “We believe that our competitive advantage in the long run is in having a tech ecosystem that is more open, inclusive accessible and welcoming than anywhere else in the world.”
Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London: “We are a city open to innovation, talent, ideas and all people across the world.”
A week of innovation, collaboration and looking to the future
It’s been an incredibly exciting few days in the capital for tech, as we welcome the world’s innovators, tech experts and change makers in every sector imaginable. Over the week, London Tech Week has welcomed 45,000+ delegates from over 145 countries, as we show why the city is the #1 tech hub in Europe.
When it comes to creativity, diversity and innovation, it’s became clear that London is the place to be as a leading tech hub, as a leader in the advancement of AI, as the best place to grow a green business, as the best place for life sciences, and the best place to export globally.
