Grow With The Go

Grow with the go. That is what I call it when you liberate yourself from toxic relationships. Be it a work, family or love relationship, if it's not good for you, you will not grow. You can take a healthy plant, put it in unhealthy soil and it will eventually die. Now that may not happen to you, but parts of you will die. Important parts...confidence, self worth and self respect. You may even start to develop physical aliments. It's a slow death. Just like the plant, you'll be okay for awhile. But then the plant may lose a few leaves. It starts to dry up. Eventually, unsupported, it withers away.

Leave all unhealthy environments if you can. The wrong soil is a barren land. Look all around you. You see nothing but dirt and dried up vegetation. That is not you. You were not created to suffer. Yes there will be times when we do suffer. But leaving an unhealthy environment is an easy fix. It may not be an easy task. But once you wrap your head around the fact that you deserve happiness, you start to take the necessary steps.

Give yourself permission to be happy. Somewhere, some time ago, you bought into some bullshit that you must suffer. But suffering for many, is a choice. Do not buy into that. 36 years working in mental health has showed me some pretty remarkable humans. What makes them remarkable, is their mindset. A lifetime of meditation has lead me to a quiet confidence. I simply am the most laid back, optimist person you will ever meet. But I wasn't always that way. It took years of self evaluation, facing fears and clearing out those mother fuckers who were no good for me. They weren't necessarily bad people. They were just bad for me. And that was my fault. Because I listen to their words, not mine.

Get on with it. Burn some bridges. But be cool about it. Use that fire to light your vision, and find your way to fertile ground. And if you can do that, you can do anything. Because the right soil is a breeding ground for eternal growth. Start with your FaceBook Wall. All those who do nothing but complain, cast judgement and are unsupportive, well...bye! Clear out those bullshit phone contacts too. As you are doing this, you are sending the universe a clear message to send you the right people. And if that doesn't get you excited for the future, you may just be stuck in barren land. So grow with the go.
