We need to understand that life is going to meet us with circumstances that will burry us deep within ourselves, face us with reality that will hurt to acknowledge, and take us to places of uncertainties and wilderness.
The path will be long and narrow, most of the time dark. But the glimmer of hope is our compass directing our journey to the great unknown. We'll meet with opportunities that will make our chests well with gratitude though in the dark.
We'll grow knowing that we have the capacity to be the person we have always hoped to be. We'll move forward and will never surrender to sadness, confusion or how lost we felt in this world. Because we are growing in the dark.
We're learning to forgive both the mistakes of others and those of our own. Our glow gives us strength and courage to set it all down, to let it go, to call them by their names so they can no longer control us. We're glowing in the dark.
Happiness is not constant, neither is sorrow, nor grief or heartache. We need to feel them all and welcome the lessons that come in the dark days. Grow and glow by always trying, with every inch of our patchwork souls.
Be proud of who we are and of whom we are becoming. To care. To heal. Be our own home. To grow in the dark and glow in darkness. We'll keep on growing. And glowing. Even in light or in the dark. That's whom we were, we are, and will be. Always.
