Setting New Industry Benchmarks
Well, it’s been a bit too long since our last newsletter and there have been some pretty significant happenings here at CABA!
And our biggest news this quarter is the release of our new spectrums. In the spring, we set out to upgrade our boards with new spectrums, setting new industry standards for output and efficacy in both CEA and greenhouse operations.
Although the input wattage stayed fairly consistent, our new line of lighting fixtures boast efficacies of between 2.6 and an incredible 3.4 micromols/joule, a serious efficiency improvement over our previous models, also setting new benchmarks for the industry.
The results? More light! Pulling the same power from the wall, our new line up will deliver up to 50% more photons to your canopy, improving your bottom line.
Our CT141 was just DLC-listed with your choice of four new deep red concentrations, from 40 to 80%. Whether you are growing cannabis indoors or ornamentals in a greenhouse, there is a spectrum optimal for your crop. The 141 delivers a true one–for-one HPS replacement and beyond.
Proving New Products
We have some exciting new offerings coming, starting this fall… new bar lights!
As you probably know, the bar light form factor has become the standard in CEA production, accounting for up to 70% of new installations.
And there are more companies than ever offering their take on the tried and tested design. Prices have plummeted, due to overproduction in China and other overseas markets. The bar light has become more commoditized than ever.
In response, our engineers have been vetting new models that meet our IP and quality requirements. The few that cut the muster are then passed on to our cultivator to be put through the paces at canopy.

Currently, those are beta models of our CTB8 800W and our CTB6 720W. Both offer a unique design with an integrated driver, making the fixture thinner and lighter than many competitors. Both are a step up from the traditional 640 watt models to 800 and 720 watts respectively and boast efficacies of 2.7 micromols/joule.
And both are affordable, the CTB6 particularly so. And it seems to be doing an excellent job of growing a little patch of craft cannabis. Our cultivator even thinks its outperforming its bigger, more expensive counterpart.?
In fact, We’ve been impressed enough with this fixture that we decided to have it ETL listed and are expecting inventory before the new year.
