Grow 1%: Choose Your Ideal Fan

Pick one of these newsletters every day, spend 2 minutes reading, 7 minutes and 36 seconds implementing it (1% of your waking day if that's 16 hours) and your socials will be 1% better at the end.
Don't buy growth hacking classes. Save your money and do this instead.
Don't Wait for Fans to Find You. Find Them.
What's your ideal social media follower? I'm guessing they are, first and foremost, real (not a bot). They care about your content. They comment meaningfully. They use social media a lot.
One of these fans is worth thousands of unengaged random followers.
So how do you get them?
Go find them.
My favorite tactic: go to a profile of a similar brand to yours, check the meaningful commenters under their posts, and reach out.
Don't make it spammy. Make it personal. For example:

"Hey Phil! I saw your really intelligent comment under the post about the US TikTok ban and felt compelled to reach out. I post a lot about social media and I think we would have really interesting discussions in the comments. Would you like to connect so we can keep the conversation going?"
You won't win them all. But I've run this tactic sending 10 messages in 5 minutes per day, average 3 meaningful follows, which means 1,000 super engaged followers in a year.
That took 2 minutes. You have 7 minutes and 36 seconds left. Go do this and grow 1% right now!
