Groverwhelmed Sunday: 21 reflections of 2021

Wrapping up the year that was, with 21 reflections of 2021

1) I am not as free spirited as I thought I was. Routine grounds me.

2) I don't suck at writing as much as I thought I did. Articles every Sunday for 6+ months straight..

3) At 36 years of age for the first time ever my parents said “you’ve become responsible”. #IhaveArrived?

4) I have muscles in places that were unknown to me. Thank You Gunjan and Team EQ!?

5) I like cooking with Alexa and no one else. She listens to me.?

6) I never knew I had a patient side. Important things have taken months, years to close - I have endured.?

7) It is never too late to start investing your money, especially in India. The growth potential in our country is immense.

8) In 2022 I shall not have any problems with odd jobs; I now have a reliable friend from every field: police, tailor, gardener, mechanic, dry-cleaner, shoe/bag repair.. and much much more.

9) Managing a team of intellectuals isn't easy, especially?if you aren't one yourself.??

10) When it comes to family matters, timing is critical. Do things right away.?

11) I am a very good listener. My friends, family and clients have confirmed.?

12) When in need of calm, conscious breathing works like magic?#InhaleExhale?

13) Hoarding isn't bad, specially clothes. At some point they will fit you back!?

14) I like to keep things simple and just focus on the fundamentals. Everything else is frills.?

15) I am picky: companies to invest in, clients to work with, relationships to nourish. I make decisions based on my principles.

16) No matter how good/honest you are, people will cheat you - learn & move on?

17) When it comes to paperwork. always read the fine print. Irrespective of who it comes from - friends, colleagues, partners – do the hard work, be diligent.

18) When in doubt - vocalize the confusion/ambiguity out loud.

19) Work is more enjoyable when you are surrounded by team members who own it.

20) You may slow down - become old, patient, mindful but Formula 1 races will still remain exciting.?

21) I don't like it when people call Tigers as Sher or Sherni. The Jungle Book has corrupted both the name and the image of tigers.?Lions are Sher/Sherni, Tigers are Bagh/Baghin.

Thanks for sharing Ankur. While I could relate to some of the reflections myself, I have also got some new points which I should try out this year.
