Group14 Hosts Senator Murray
Group14 and Big Bend Community College host Senator Patty Murray and local leaders to discuss the clean energy economy, training, new jobs, and investment in Eastern WA.
Earlier this month, Senator Murray, Group14’s CEO Rick Luebbe, Microsoft’s Lisa Karstetter, and local leaders addressed the collective work taking place in Eastern Washington to stimulate the emerging clean energy economy. They focused on strategic pathways for new career opportunities, education, and workforce training at Big Bend Community College and Group14’s BAM-2 factory.
The biggest takeaway: celebrate the recent bipartisan infrastructure policies and use them to “stay competitive and invest in the future.”
It was an inspiring conversation, which included representatives from Big Bend Community College, Career Connected WA, Columbia Basin Technical Skills Center, Grant County Economic Development Council, Grant County PUD, and Microsoft’s Techspark program and Climate Impact Fund. Together, we’re jumpstarting growth in the region.
Pouring Concrete in Moses Lake!
We're continuing major concrete pours and steel is en route in preparation for building up. We expect the first two BAM modules to begin production in 2024, enabling 20 GW hours of silicon battery capacity annually, creating hundreds of jobs, from operations to engineers and process operators.
