Group Leadership and work structure in the new world.

The difference between the structure of??pre 2019??(this goes specifically for SMEs and start-ups) and that of now, is the idea of leadership by one or few needs to be replaced with leadership by a larger group. It is the difference between the imposition of an individual's idea of success versus carrying forward the emergence of the idea without the dominance of any one individual. The major task of individual leaders is to carry and embody the group aspiration in an organised work structure.?

During times of global crisis and more so now post the crisis, instead of seeing leadership vision and skill, team members experience fear, distrust, impatience and then the question of what the future beholds comes in. Perhaps on reflection we can see that leadership is indeed being provided by many worthy people but that the present upheaval of these transitional times transcends the ability of such leaders acting alone. Conversely, when the team works as a group leader they have the transparency into the possibilities and access to the probable consequence of the group action. The positive impact of this seems to be on all aspects of work life; motivation, success, health, wealth and happiness of being part as well as of creator of something more than just mundane work.

YOU MIGHT ASK: When I start sharing what happens to my individual goals, my personal aspiration and financial success? After all not everybody in the group maybe at the same level. Past two years or so have made it a little trickier to understand where we are in our profession and where we stand in fulfilling life. The type of intelligent awareness we’re accustomed to was jolted and a new awareness of collective consciousness is presented as an alternative. Our perception dictates the nature of our universe and the new reality is the new motivation to play with this extraordinary yet transitory phase of time.?

Of course as individuals, we remain forever separate contributors and apart from each other even in our most closely knitted project contribution. However, we look at success from different view point.?We have to look at the parameters of success in this new light, success is no more redistribution of money and physical resources,?but the commitment of time and creative energy to ultimately bring all to a level better than what they previously were. The assessment is no more focused on how good we are as an individual contributor but how good are we as a group contributor. How good are we at making others succeed, for the overall success of the projects and organization. There is no competing anymore for the higher designation,??instead, we literally?separate ourselves from the temporal limitations?of self and tap into the group consciousness. It is now about making everybody ( including the organization) ready for today and ready for any difficult situation that may arise tomorrow.
