About artists :-
Norman Tagore was born in Goa in 1981. He primarily works with the human figure - male and female models, and likes taking up new challenges. His favorite mediums with human figures include line drawings with antique dip pens or bamboo pens, charcoal drawings on paper and oil paintings on canvas. He’s also passionate about love and is consumed by it entirely which is portrayed in his drawings and paintings. He also engages himself in pop and graffiti art at times. He has participated in several group exhibitions in India and his artworks are in important collections in India and abroad.
Shripad Gurav was born in 1981 in Goa. He is stirred by the Goan lifestyle, the way of dressing and socialising of the Portuguese generation. Born in 1957 in Goa, Nirupa Naik was deeply influenced by her surroundings of hills, trees and ponds which are all a part of nature. The breath of clear fresh air untouched by the city fumes seen heavily in her earlier works are still seen in her present paintings. Her later artworks also depict the human figure. She participated in the Imago Mundi , La Biennale di Venezia in 2013 and in many art exhibitions nationally.
Manjunath Naik was born in Goa in 1981. His works are about life and fantasies. His major area of work lies in those expressing love in different moods. He states, "When we are in love, we do all crazy stuff and this world becomes an alien place for us and we dwell in the universe of love… We see all bright colours around red , blue , green, pink, etc … For me, art has always been a strong platform to let myself go in different universes to explore my inner self and see this world with different eyes of my soul and feel the pleasure of love. In my universe I am naked from inside and I look at this world - observing, feeling and capturing it in my archives of my moments in life." He has participated in several group exhibitions in India and internationally.
Nandini Raikar was born in 1974 in Karwar. She believes that her ideas are the colours, her pencils and brushes are the tools of expressions, and the canvas - the image of the vision and the dreams captured in mind. The inspiration is the same for the spiritual and physical satisfaction that she receives from the completion of the exhibit of the work of art. She observes about herself and claims, “My skills on creativity, expressions of my inner emotions, my thoughts about the well being of society, humanitarian flaws and failures, social ethics and morales of the society get sharpened, as I go on placing these observations on canvas." She has participated in several group exhibitions in Goa and abroad.
Jyoti Mehta was born in Banaras in 1979. As a child she used to sit and watch the clouds change their shape, the colour of the evening sky, etc. She was inspired by Mother nature, it’s colours and beauty. So she began painting flowers and landscapes. She uses paintings as a powerful medium to express and share her thoughts to the world. As an avid lover of spiritual books, she also got inspired by Buddha’s story and his teachings. Whatever little she understands about life, she tries to express through her paintings. She wishes to understand nature’s laws and share them through her works. According to her, paintings are mediums for her to spread love and happiness in everyone’s life. She has been a part of various group exhibitions in India and internationally.
