Group Coaching returns for Business Owners

"Business Coaching is not a Luxury anymore - It's now a Necessity "

When the world is calling for collaboration in every area of life the Business Coaching Industry must follow and offer Business Collaboration in the form of Group Coaching to allow more of the Business Community to gain valuable and practical advice to weather the economic storm we are seeing around the world right now.?

I started Group Coaching from the backend of my Accounting Practice in 2008,? bringing together? Business owners' heads into a structured community of learning, solving problems at a group level,? and learning accountability under an umbrella of privacy and confidentiality, and BOOM … we had success for all involved.?

The business owners were at all different levels of business —? some are start-ups, some are in white water and others mature, some are still doing it hard by themselves, and others are with teams behind them.? They were all suffering from similar problems and between everyone along with structured learning from the Business Coach/ Advisor, all businesses were moving past problems and into creating and growth modes.?

It was a Win-Win-Win scenario for everyone involved and in a similar environment as we are in now, with uncertainty and challenges.

Business Coaching was relatively new for the small business community at that time and considered a luxury and priced accordingly, rather than a necessity as it needed to be.?

Everyone was waiting for the impact of the Global Financial Crisis (GFC), and speculating on how that was going to be. However, still, the daily challenges of generating leads from marketing spending was a real concern from how to message the business in a way that stood out from their competitors to having their customers come back more times from additional value adds.

Innovation, Ideas, and Creativity were on the table as well as RED FROGS!? Yes, you heard it right we were literally eating "the frog first" in this case, RED FROGS. Doing what was the most important but NOT urgent and moving all businesses forward with velocity to ensure there was enough momentum to progress and achieve goals and results despite what economy we were in.

For the Business Advisor /Coach it was a satisfying and fulfilling time focusing on best practice learnings, monthly results and accountability.?

Fast forward 14 years later .. We have changing economic indicators, financial turbulence on the horizon, rising inflation, global supply chain shortages, and are now operating in a more Digital World than we were.??

If the Business strategy is not carefully thought out and monitored on a regular basis, it could have a negative impact on Cash Flow like spending hard-earned profits on Marketing and Advertising that isn't generating the sales targets budgeted for. ? Unfortunately, I hear these stories all the time which will then be followed by the start of the downward spiral of Businesses, families, and relationships. .? And we all know how that goes… need I remind you of the rising mental health concerns around the world?

Times are tough for the Business Owner and it doesn't have to be that way!?

Times are changing fast and so must the Business Coaching offerings from the Advisor who makes putting the successes of their clients first in the form of increased cash flow and profits their 1st priority. Creating a Business Coaching format that is affordable for EVERY and ANY Business owner who is committed to growing and creating stability in this fast-paced and ever-changing world we are living in now should be in the form of Group Coaching.

There's an old adage, that two heads are better than one. How much better would five to 10 heads be? That's the power of group coaching. You can draw upon the wisdom and experience of not just your own business prowess, but of everyone in the group from a variety of industries and business types.?

We need more Business Advisors/Coaches/ Strategists - to rise up to the challenge and shift the pendulum from Business Coaching seen as a Luxury for a Business Owner to being a Necessity. With this, they will not only SURVIVE in the current environment they are set up in but? THRIVE in any environment with the tools and practices we give them.

( I have worked with many different industries throughout my career as a Practicing Accountant and I can tell you that we all have the same problems, just different people and different business models and products/services. )?

This is a WIN-WIN-WIN scenario? - that the Business Coaching Industry should be focusing on for the next 5 years.?
