Grounded beliefs and AI capabilities

Leading the conversation on Global Mobility and the future of International Work
In our upcoming paper, AI and its (mis)use in global mobility, Sean Collins , Managing Partner at Talent Mobility Search , shares some real-life examples of AI integration.??
In one, he brings together our previous paper - Talent Development through GM - with our soon-to-be-released AI paper.?
He gives the example of a transportation technology company who uses an internal talent marketplace. Here, an employee would find “gigs,” which are mapped by AI to their skill sets and learning objectives.?
With a relatively small-time commitment, the employee helps fix the issue, and they learn some new skills while they do. It's a simple way to develop talent, while solving challenges. Meanwhile, the employee gets to broaden their abilities and progress in their career. In return, the organisation has an employee who is willing and able to learn new skills and solve issues. That's an asset for any business. ?
From emerging adopters to advanced implementers
As always, our upcoming AI paper will include a self-assessment tool.?
The Global Mobility AI Capability Mapping Tool will help you evaluate AI readiness, set strategic priorities and develop actionable plans to reach your organisation’s desired capabilities. It’s a vital resource for any organisation that wants to use AI as part of their global mobility programme.
The tool will get its first public airing at RES Connect Singapore on the 26th of September at 施耐德电气 ’s Kallang Avenue office. Alongside the Grounded Beliefs Calibrator from our recent Talent Development paper, David Enser will introduce the tool with a quick overview.?
You won’t necessarily come away knowing whether you’re a Satisfied Sustainer or an Aspirational Developer. You’ll certainly have a good idea of what those terms mean, and you’ll be on your way to understanding which is best for your organisation.
?
Check your beliefs
Before you see the AI tool, we’ll take a deep dive into some ‘Grounded Beliefs,’ and dig into what they mean for your GM programme.?
Are you doing enough to stir interest for international roles among your internal talent? Is your GM programme aligned with your company’s financial objectives? The Grounded Beliefs Calibrator helps you answer these questions and gives you pointers on what to do about it.?
Why would you want to tackle either of these? You’ll find the answer for that in our research paper, Talent Development through GM, key to winning the war for talent?
The paper and the self-assessment tool are available to download, for free, from our website.

Then we’ll move onto the Netherlands to celebrate International Children’s Day on the 20th of November. We’ll hold a panel discussion with some exciting guests (to be announced) before Karlijn Jacobs , the world’s first Ombudsperson for International Children, runs a workshop on the experience of children and families when it comes to international moves. In the meantime, find 20 minutes, grab a drink and watch Karlijn’s conversation with Serap Zel, Ph.D . It’s a warm and engaging chat about the war for talent and the power of successful family relocation experiences.
