Ground ops experience
I had the opportunity to visit the LH Group station at Heathrow last week. I was impressed by the organization and efficiency I observed there. It quickly became clear to me that the team at this airport is committed to ensuring that everything is well organized for both our passengers and our employees.
I was particularly impressed with the way our employees interacted with the Menzies team. Open communication and collegial collaboration help streamline the check-in and boarding process. The team members I spoke with were all incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and it was clear they take great pride in their work.
During my visit, I also had the opportunity to meet with Emma Gilthorpe, Chief Operating Officer of the airport, and exchange ideas with her about the challenges and unique characteristics of the airport.
Overall, my visit to London Heathrow was a fantastic learning experience, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to experience firsthand what it's like behind the scenes at this airport. Thanks to the LH team at LHR!
