Ground-breaking ceremony for Yorkshire Water and Aqua Enviro’s wastewater treatment project

Yorkshire Water and Aqua Enviro have prospered a ground-breaking meta genetic project to control and monitor performance at wastewater treatment works.

The project is a team-up between Yorkshire water and Aqua Enviro;?their goal is to use the genetic sequencing tool to help the water company better understand the different types of bacteria at its sites and certain certain certain certain types specific types of conditions that affect their performance. At the same time, its Enhanced Biological Phosphorus Removal (EBPR) upgrades are executed.

It is expected that the results of this project will entitle the user to improve the performance of how its wastewater treatment works and help the project to meet its sustainable and environmental missions.

The project will involve Metagenomics which involves sequencing the generic material present inside the wastewater, which helps determine the types of the plethora of microbes present. This will provide valuable data that can inform on process and operation

Optimization of a treatment plant

The profiles of different bacterial populations like Nitrifiers, Methanogens, and Anammox have been studied.

The results of this project are expected to permit Yorkshire Water to improve the performance of the waterfront treatment. They will aid them in meeting their goals. The project is said to be a ground-breaking project, and the project will lead the way with the trailing of its technology.

The managers and people at Yorkshire Water hope that the genetic sequencing tool will help improve efficiency at their treatment works and, in the long run, will provide better value for money for their customers. The benefits will also be seen in the water they will treat and return to the environment.
