Groceries — and honey — bring unexpected hope

Welcome back! In a world full of fear and uncertainty, we hope this week’s stories serve as a reminder that we can all do something to make a difference and bring hope and kindness to our communities. ??

This week, we’re covering a transformative day in Moldova, how Convoy of Hope Europe is helping in Spain, and multiplying your impact this holiday season.?

Let’s jump right into it.?

Kindness sweeter than honey

A woman at Convoy’s Community Event in Vulkane?t, Moldova, receives groceries, local honey, and other essential supplies.

You may have heard the saying “the show must go on” — this proved to be true at Convoy of Hope’s historic Community Event in Vulkane?t, Moldova. Six months’ worth of rain drenched the area on the day of the event, but what seemed to be hopeless in the bad weather was the very thing that brought hope.

Despite the weather conditions, Convoy team members and volunteers set up the event tents. Kids and parents looking for shelter from the rain found the tents, which led to an opportunity to tangibly encourage these families.?

By the end of the day, more than 200 families had received groceries, snacks, and family portraits and enjoyed activities for the kids. In addition, local beekeepers in Convoy’s bee program donated 10% of their honey to these Guests of Honor — all as another way to show support and love toward their neighbors.
