Grit: How the Nashville Predators Recent Win May Provide a Winning Example to Your Team

Just recently, I learned about a book called: "Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance Hardcover" by Angela Duckworth. She defines grit as the unique combination of passion and perseverance. As a passionate cheerleader to last Thursday night's "Ironman hockey experience," I would propose that the Nashville Predators needed true grit to win that critical game 4. Fast forward to Game 6, down three games to two, Nashville will need another significant does of "game grit" to even the series at three games apiece.
According to Miriam-Webster, passion is a strong feeling of enthusiasm of excitement for something or about doing something." Perseverance is "the quality that allows someone to continue trying to do something even though it is difficult." We all want our teams in business to be passionate. When times our tough, we wish that each person would find the courage and resilience to push through to a successful conclusion.
As one of my favorite acronyms: TEAM - Together Everyone Achieves More, clearly articulates, we want to find more passion and increase perseverance to help our teams WIN more than we LOSE. Good luck with finding and nurturing the natural grit - on your teams at the office, at home and in your local communities.
I am a Nashville native and very proud of my hometown. With all the grit that I can must, the "7th Man" will do all we can to will our PREDS to victory tomorrow night.

8 年I was also there for all 3 OT's and saw the game winner! That was a great game! The team, the fans, everyone in the building was pulling in the same direction... It was well worth the 3 hours of sleep before getting back up Friday morning to get back at it!! #Lets Go Preds!!
