GRIT
Well begun is half done. It takes INITIATIVE to get going. But it takes GRIT to see it all the way through.
Some of the definitions of GRIT relate to small, hard, abrasive particles. That could be useful when you are smoothing things over or removing unwanted material, but it can be rough when you are experiencing it.
Wikipedia defines GRIT in psychology as “a positive, non-cognitive trait based on an individual’s passion for a particular long-term goal or end state, coupled with a powerful motivation to achieve their respective objectiveâ€
“GRIT is not about forcing yourself to work hard at something you don’t like. It’s about pushing through challenges when engaged in something you do.†–Mike Anderson
