Daniela, a gripping, epic novel...

When my wife and I visited India several years ago, we visited my friend and filmmaker Pravesh Sippy. He introduced me to a couple of other filmmakers, Anjali Bhushan and to the works of his friend Stephen Weeks. Stephen and I have since become acquainted and struck up an online friendship. At that time my wife and I had the great pleasure of reading Stephen's script called The Pain of Mrs. Winterton, a film of intrigue set in India during the rise of nazism. It was a real page turner, as it had scenes at the Taj Mahal Hotel, The Gateway of India, and Elephanta Island, all places we stayed or visited. We became instant fans. Daniela is his most recent page turner in novel form and a great read. You will find it easier to read than we found reading a script with set directions, etcetera ;-)
