Gripped by JavaScript
With current demand higher than ever the team and I have been looking into JavaScript in more detail.

Gripped by JavaScript

Technology is an inseparable part of human life, pervading all activities and creating progressive impacts on our day-to-day affairs. In the recent years, the emergence of innovative models of communication is the subject for debate and discussions. Web technology has evolved over the last few years with every evolution triggering the development of new tools and techniques that have helped IT companies in creating innovative and useful applications.

The look, feel and the shape of the web and mobile interfaces have changed drastically with the launch of Open source JavaScript frameworks. These frameworks offered everything that a developer required. Therefore, IT industry experts believe that the JavaScript-based scripting language is a must-have tool in any application development and is also very important in delivering toolkits for modern companies.

Let’s discuss four open source frameworks that have become the buzz words for web developers all over the globe.

Node.js:

Node.js is a JavaScript platform that is built on V8 JavaScript runtime of Google Chrome. This was further developed as the JavaScript execution engine for Chrome browser. Also, Node.js has enabled the development of fast paced and highly scalable, web-based applications. Node.js makes less use of memory and CPU resources and, unlike other frameworks, it can easily run just with mere 512MB memory over cloud and Docker container of 512MB. In the last five years, more than 1,90,000 Node.js modules have been added by the developers, thus proving that it is growing rapidly with an unprecedented adoption. Early Node.js adopters include Netflix, Walmart, PayPal, Dow Jones and Groupon. For web-based and mobile-based backend system, Node is definitely here to stay.

ReactJS:

If you are developing a single-page app, then ReactJS is an ideal JavaScript framework. As a web-ready framework, ReactJS is an excellent combination of JavaScript and HTML within a single file. This combination allows easy HTML view while maintaining versatility.

One of the biggest advantages of ReactJS is that it allows integration of ASP Net and C#. ReactJS is designed in such a way that its framework comes with robust native capability combined with React Native for native iOS controls. This has made ReactJS immensely popular for fast, single page, web-based app development and currently, the React repository on GitHub contains more than 26,000 stars.

Angular JS:

Building a single page website is easier with AngularJS. The framework allows easy structuring and testing of apps because it has ability to automatically sync UI data. This Model-View-Whatever (MVW) JavaScript AJAX framework includes several patterns like Model-View-Controller, Model-View-ViewModel and Model-View-Presenter.

Developed by Google, AngularJS has more than 1,200 contributors on GitHub and besides the repository of 40,000 stars and more than 18,000 forks.

Ember.js

This was originally released in 2011 and designed to make its performance glitch free just by scheduling tasks on specific queues. This is another single-app development friendly, open source JavaScript framework. Most of the code while designing an app and internals of Ember.js occurs in a run loop. This run loop, used for batching and ordering, ensures maximum efficiency.

Furthermore, Docker also provides a GitHub-like repository for container images called DockerHub, making it easy to share and distribute containers. Using Docker, one can create a DockerFile describing all the languages, framework, and library dependencies for that service.

Did this post help you make an informed decision on what open source JavaScript to use while developing an app? At present we have a number of requirements within this field. Please get in touch with our team for further information.
