Susan Capurso, an End-of-Life Doula and Lisa Strahs-Lorenc, a Bereavement Specialist welcomed their guest, Ada Hasloecher, founder of the Divorce and Mediation Center. She is also a trainer for the Center for Mediation and Training, NYC. She has been a mediator for over 21 years. She co-hosts a monthly peer group for mediators. She has also served on the Board of Directors for the Council for Divorce and Mediation.
She spoke about why and how she became a mediator. You do not have to be a lawyer to be a mediator. She found her life's work that led up to her training to be a mediator. The impact on children and the family are seen for many years. Grief and divorce are an important topic. She explained about the mediation process and the emotional issues involved in the process. She helps the family do the divorce process as amically as possible.
