The Grid: Am I usable?

"Please stop superimposing curves on me while designing." Said by the grid to the Architect. Having lots of discussion in the classroom and the office desk, all the architects and the students are still wondering about the correct use of the grid.
Right from the onset of this topic, the discussion will be on the use of the grid as well as its pros and cons during the design process.
Placing of dots in a regular interval in the horizontal and vertical direction, The grid forms. It is an initial phase of the design. The alteration in the regular interval can occur during the process. In the world of the grid, One may find the various forms of it.
In the first year of architectural education in colleges, there was a grid line exercise. Do you recall it? Yes, that one. the full cartridge sheet. Still, have that sheet? I don't think so. That's the first move from your side to this journey. Do you recall that Palladio’s geometry? No? Villas? 3x3 bays? no? See there are several villas in Vicenza, Italy having 3x3 bays forming the nine square grid designed by this architect. He used to play in the spatial character with the grid. It is all about the understanding of the building component with its spatial qualities.
Pros.
Grid produces Harmony in design.
Grid explains Proportions in structure.
Grid carries the order of the structure.
Grid offers beauty in something.
Conc. The Quality of the curve without the grid is natural. It contains strokes, the natural movement, and the required length and hence Grid restrict the hand to move freely.
