I’ve personally kept up with the Grid for over a year and a half. As an active marketer, Wordpress, and SEO specialist, I found the Grid to be rather intimidating at first. I thought it would take jobs away from web developers, eventually making us obsolete. The reality is that there will still be room for web developers. The Grid has not yet launched and there are still technical portions to this technology that I believe, will not remove the web developer quite yet. Eventually, once the Grid finds its rhythm, and the users learn the program, they will be able to create websites within a minimum of three minutes.
When I look at this product, I see it helping small businesses, while also being able to help many companies unable to afford the cost to create a website. I see it as being the ultimate product to helping small businesses gain some ground and move forward. I see it doing much more good than bad and I still see there being a market for both the web developer, and the Grid.
