Greylock Edge: Year One
It’s been one year since we launched?Greylock Edge ?- a bespoke company building program designed to advance select pre-idea, pre-seed, and seed founders.??
Since launching, we’ve worked closely with several new founding teams to initiate new companies across cybersecurity, SaaS, marketplaces & commerce, and consumer domains. These new companies all started out of the Greylock offices, and are building in stealth.?
Edge is personalized for each founding team. We don’t operate in large batches. We selectively accept teams on a rolling basis, working with only two or three founding teams at a time.
In Edge, we ruthlessly prioritize founders' time on idea refinement, customer development, and hiring. No generic programming.?
For one new company (still in stealth) that we partnered with in Edge, Greylock made 35 introductions to founding engineering candidates, which resulted in direct placement of 60% of their founding engineering team. Together, we did over 50 customer calls in under 3 months, and introduced the team to half of their initial enterprise customers.
We love when an entrepreneur introduces us to a thesis we’ve never imagined and we work together to initiate a new company. If you are thinking about starting a company, consider doing so with Greylock Edge. Apply or reach out directly to any Greylock investor for more info.
