Greif Taught Me About Life & Being Present More Than Anything...
It has been many months since I have made a newsletter and just to be honest, life has been incredible, but also very busy in the Tiny Home business. I have been more blessed and satisfied to my core in this season than any other things. However, this leads me to the vantage point of where I want to begin sharing from in these newsletters.
There are many things happening in such an incredible way where I am reminded every hour by the Lord to remain in being present and not remaining busy. Many times in life we get busy, we're human so it is normal to occur at times, but should never remain the casual normal. From what I have personally experienced, grief taught me how life makes more sense in hindsight and rarely makes sense in the moment when things are happening.
We are always hearing about the stories from the elderly about their regrets and things they are happy they did... how everything made sense and what built them for what they truly enjoyed. However, BUSYNESS is always the culprit of "having to do one more thing", but the reality check truth is it will be there for you tomorrow / later on.
It is in the moment that matters, and during the moments, we do NOT have time to think but to respond (not react) in the moment for the best possible outcome...
...total sidenote, isn't it funny how that sounds like "response-ability"? Hmmm...
When we prepare is when we respond better, but when it comes to being present in the moment, it is where everything is created from memories, experiences, words, relationships, and so much more, but it can go bad if we are not mentally, emotionally, and spiritually present.
Being present in the moment, despite the insanity happening around us is way more than me just saying, "You can doooo iiiiiiittttttt, ohhhh yeeeeahhhh" like Rob Schneider from Water Boy. It is sometimes a second by second, hour by hour discipline depending on how fast your mind races. I have ADHD on steroids so I know how it feels when it feels like everything is overwhelming even if it was the dog that farted in the room and t smells like a nuke went off.
Being present is more valuable to someone else than what you can provide to them because you are telling them with your focus on them, they are worth it without telling them... you're showing it. So whatever you have to do to quiet your mind, quiet your soul, and whatever is bothering you today, loving yourself enough to take care of and tame that beast affects more people than I can ever put into words because you never know who is watching, hearing, or hearing ABOUT you that will change their lives and POV on life.
Our obituaries will tell THE story we are writing RIGHT NOW and all of the legendary stuff comes back to the 6 inches between our ears and what we decide to do today to remain present with our family members, spouse, kids, business partners, employees, and others.

Being present in a business meeting will make you money or make you lose money, trust me. You can be the best salesman, community builder, pastor, leader, business owner, FILL ___ IN ____ THE ___ BLANK of your title and nothing else will matter more than being present with someone.
When you are present with someone, and they are present with you, you're telling them, THEY matter more than anything in the world in that present time... this is how we create memories we will later cherish and reflect back on being our story people will remember us by.
So no matter what is going on right now, understand this... your ability to respond is your only responsibility so respond, responsibly. Lol, say THAT 10x fast, eh?
The truth of the matter is this, many times we don't unuderstand what we have until we lose, but the other side is also true... we will only realize the impact of the moments we create with others AFTER we are done creating them... that is why they are called memories... they tell the story.
Now go live your story, and write it in real time what others will remember for generations.
I hope this was an encouragement, just wanted to share some of the things that have been on my heart lately... and I'm going to make it more of a routine to change the direction of these newsletter to encourage and share lessons and highlights as life carries on in business and personal.
