Greenlight Television Win Prestigious National Award

TV Production Company of the Year

Greenlight TV has been awarded the TV Production Company of the Year by Motorsport Awards. The ceremony, which covers everything from riders and teams to races, championships, media and marketing, is now in its sixth edition.

Greenlight Television was awarded in particular for its efforts in the television production of the Isle of Man TT Races . This mammoth undertaking saw the event broadcasted live for the very first time via the introduction of the TT’s own digital channel, TT+, with Greenlight Television producing and delivering 11 days of live coverage from around the 37.73 mile course, totalling 42 hours across the fortnight long event.

As well as the live broadcast, Greenlight Television also produced 14 one-hour programmes for ITV4 and international distribution throughout the two weeks of racing.

Also produced during the event was the highly acclaimed feature-length docufilm Tourist Trophy as well as an insightful interview series entitled ‘My Race’ both were released to fans for free on TT+ in November. Tourist Trophy follows six riders on their 2022 TT journey and My Race, where a number of riders describe their most successful race on the Island. Programming produced in 2022 will be rounded off with the highly anticipated of a documentary series that goes behind the scenes with riders, drivers and passengers and gifts fans a never seen before perspective of the Isle of Man TT Races.
