We’d also like to shine the spotlight on two individuals who have truly made a difference through their dedication to landscape architecture and the environment. Lexi Bradshaw and Molly Jones, interns at WPL, have exemplified excellence and creativity in their recent project at Cox High School.
Under the guidance of Principal Landscape Architect, Billy Almond, and Landscape Architect, Aubrey Pontious, Lexi and Molly embarked on a mission to revitalize the raised garden planters at Virginia Beach’s Cox High School. Their goal was not only to enhance the aesthetics of the school’s raised garden but also to create an environment that fosters growth and learning for students.
With meticulous planning and innovative thinking, Lexi and Molly developed a comprehensive plan for the rehabilitation of the planters. This included detailed planting plans tailored to the unique needs of the space. They also tackled the challenge of water management, devising strategies to maximize the success of the planters while minimizing water usage. Their creative solutions and problem-solving skills were instrumental in overcoming obstacles and ensuring the sustainability of the project.
We are proud to have them as part of the WPL family and look forward to witnessing their continued success in the field of landscape architecture.
