Over 70 charging spaces now open at University of Warwick
First up, Zest has opened 78 charging spaces at the University of Warwick as part of a £1.3 million investment that will see the charge point operator provide and manage charging facilities at the University over the next 15 years.
Including both fast and rapid EV chargers across multiple university car parks, the facilities are projected to save more than 15,000 tonnes of CO2, equivalent to 69 million miles driven in a petrol car.

Registrations to operate zero emission buses increase
Nexr, new research from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) found that more operators are continuing the switch to zero emission buses (ZEBs), with new registrations rising by almost half to 484 units in the quarter.?
In the first nine months of the year, ZEBs accounted for a fifth (20.9%) of all new bus, coach and minibus registrations, with 1,230 of the very greenest models joining the road.?

Liquid hydrogen bus fleet and refuelling station to operate in Crawley
With £30 million of investment, the liquid hydrogen refuelling station at Crawley depot is now in operation – fuelling nine buses onsite on its first day.

Hydrogen will be stored at the Metrobus Crawley depot in liquid form, before converted into gas held in tanks on the roof of vehicles.?
It takes eight minutes to fill an empty tank of a route 100 bus meaning these buses can spend more time on local roads serving the communities of Sussex and Surrey.

Europcar adds electric vans to fleet to help businesses go green

Project to deliver 2,000 charging points 'progressing at pace'
Finally, a project to deliver the largest ever electric vehicle charger rollout across the North of England is progressing at pace, South Tyneside Council has reported.
The Council is working with Connected Kerb to upgrade and expand electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the Borough, with the installation of up to 2,000 new charging points over the 20-year partnership.
