“GREENBOATS?represents Generational Change,”?said World Sailing Vice President Philip Baum at the ceremony.

“This initiative has shown that sailing can make great strides in terms of utilising natural fibres over composite materials without losing speed, strength or style. Scaling up Production of GREENBOATS?PANELS.

GREENBOATS Panels

Our goal is to make sustainable composite technologies?easier to adopt. To achieve this, we are focused on creating a range of standard panels that offer?exceptional sustainability-adjusted performance at affordable prices.

Additionally, we are committed to enabling our customers to return components that have been damaged or have reached the end of their life. This approach not only provides eco-friendly products but also promotes circularity.

Over the past three years, we have developed a fully functional production street that allows us to develop laminated NFC skins of?high and homogenous quality.

In the next phase of development, we are currently scaling the process to a larger dimension (from currently 3,00 x 1,30 m to soon 8,00 x 2,50 m). This will allow us to build larger panels and further reduce the processing costs.?

THE SHERPA (2023)

Natural Fibre Composites (NFC) can serve as a substitute for glass fibre (GRP) or carbon fibre (CFRP) products. However, we believe they can achieve even more. They can be the basis for new, innovative products and services that were previously not possible. To Show that we have teamed up with?Next Horizon Mobility?to develop and built the?SHERPA.?

The SHERPA is an Expedition Vehicle with which you can travel the entire world. The Design is entirely based on Natural Fibre Composite (NFC) Panels and NFC Profiles that can be recycled at end of Life.?The SHERPA GBS 01 will be presented later this year. Orders are accepted from 2024.

Drop us a message to let us know if you are interested and we will keep you updated about the build process.

GREEN IMOCA COMPONENTS

The new IMOCA 60 of TEAM MALIZIA , the Malizia Seaexplorer III, is currently competing in?The Ocean Race! In total there are 49 (!) Natural Fibre-Reinforced Components (NFC) made by GREENBOATS on board!?

At present, the team is navigating through the third leg of their journey from Cape Town to Itajai, Brazil, covering a distance of approximately 12,500 miles, and spending roughly 40 days on the water. Use the Tracker to follow in real time.?

Currently in the Workshop

Currently, in production: The ?MB9“, a 30′ Cruiser Racer made of Natural Fiber Reinforced Composites (NFC). A boat that can cross oceans. In doing so, it will collect many more arguments which will hopefully accelerate the adoption of NFC technologies by the manufacturing industry. In Marine and beyond.

As many in the composite industry know, there are distinct phases with varying degrees of visible progress. After weeks of hard work, we're thrilled to see everything coming together so quickly. The future owner is planning to compete in the first regattas towards the end of this season!?
