GREENbilt Project featured in latest issue of ONTARIO HOMEBUILDER Magazine
When builders want to point to the best ways to deploy advanced technologies, it is gratifying when they feature GREENbilt Homes' projects.
So we, at GREENbilt, were pleasantly surprised to open the latest edition of ONTARIO HOMEBUILDER magazine and to see our latest project in North Toronto featured in an article in the Better Building section.
Our latest Custom Home Build is a model of passive design as it was built with continuous insulation, enveloping the exterior of the house. That, on top of the Blueskin air barrier, is the low hanging fruit of reducing the heating or cooling consumption for an energy efficient home.
- Here are 3 items, mentioned in this article, that were incorporated into our new build Secondary Thermal Storage System. We installed polished concrete floors to help with the interior thermal mass storage, which are mainly paid for within structural costs.
- E/HRV (Energy Recovery Ventilation) reduces the amount of wasted heating and cooling that happens with required fresh air inputs. We installed two systems to help manage different zones more efficiently.
- LED lighting All lighting in this home is LED lighting. This is the new standard in reducing electricity consumption and residual heat build-up in any building.
Our passion is pushing the "green" envelop every time we do a new project. In this project, we built a home the owners just love because of its year-round comfort. And they love their utility bill even more.
We are always learning about new technologies and products. And we are never too busy to listen to you about the hopes and aspirations you have for your next project. Let's use LinkedIn as one way of doing it! Message anytime.
