To a Cleaner Kochi!
The devastating fire that broke out on March 2nd at Brahmapuram's 110-acre garbage facility in Kochi has exposed the residents to toxic smoke and brought to light the city's poor waste management system. In an effort to tackle the waste crisis in Kochi and ensure the city is free from hazardous dump sites, Green Worms has joined forces with Kochi Municipal Corporation. A new Resource Recovery Facility (RRF) has been inaugurated in Kaloor, Kochi, as part of a joint project between Kochi Municipal Corporation, Green Worms, the Rajiv Youth Foundation, Hitech Bio Fertilizers, and Aravind Associates, to promote sustainable waste management practices.
The Local Self Government Minister of Kerala, Shri M.B Rajesh, has officially inaugurated the facility at Kaloor, aimed at improving the city's waste management infrastructure. With a public-private partnership in waste management, the collaboration between Green Worms, Kochi Municipal Corporation, and other organizations is paving the way for a cleaner and more sustainable Kochi.

SWAP - Embracing circularity, one step at a time!
The fashion industry has a significant impact on the environment, and it's essential to take steps to reduce our contribution to the problem. The SWAP is a humble initiative by us to embrace sustainable fashion. By participating in the SWAP initiative, we can take a small but meaningful step towards reducing textile waste and promoting sustainable fashion practices in India.
Through SWAP, we can give our pre-loved clothes a new life and reduce the demand for new garments, which require resources and contribute to environmental degradation. This is also a great way to refresh your wardrobe without spending a dime!
If you're interested in participating in the SWAP initiative, keep an eye out for more details on how to get involved. Together, small steps like these can add up to significant change, and I hope to see more initiatives like SWAP in the future.
