Save the date! Action on Site Health Scotland 2024
The must-go event for construction professionals who believe site health is just as important as site safety is back by popular demand! On Wednesday 24th April, we're returning for Action on Site Health Scotland 2024.
What is Action on Site Health?
Action on Site Health events are becoming recognised within the construction industry as a great opportunity to hear influential industry speakers, discuss site health challenges facing construction and network with likeminded.
What's included at an Action on Site Health event?
As previously, this event is completely FREE to attend and will feature another outstanding line up of speakers from organisations including Public Health Scotland, the HSE, BAM Nuttall and Balfour Beatty. At these events, our speakers, supporters and attendees all want to take action toward a common goal; to significantly reduce the number of construction workers suffering from work-related ill health.

Know the legal duties when dealing with asbestos
Did you know that despite being banned from use in the construction industry since 1999, asbestos is the biggest cause of work-related deaths in Great Britain and amongst construction workers?
Asbestos can still be found in older building such as schools, hospitals, museums, offices, and factories. It's crucial to understand that while intact asbestos poses minimal risk, however disturbing it during construction or demolition projects can release dangerous fibres into the air, endangering the health of workers and bystanders.
