Can you believe it's already the end of World Environment Month? But before we bid farewell to this special month, let's dive into the exciting events you won't want to miss that the incredible team at FatHopes Energy has been up to in the South and East Coast regions of Malaysia.?
Down in Taman Bukit Rambai, Melaka; the FatHopes Energy team has joined forces with some passionate Final Year students from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam to put on an awe-inspiring event called "360 Waste Solution" with a mission to empower the community with the know-how on waste management and the #3R concept: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! We're talking about making a real difference here.
Community leaders; Klebang assemblyman Datuk Lim Bang Hong, Chairman of KRT Taman Bukit Rambai Mr Ahmad Nor Iman Shawal, Chief Corporate Manager of SWM Environment Sdn. Bhd. Tuan Haji Mohd Norlisam Mohd Nordin, and the Dean of Research & Innovation College of Engineering Studies, (UiTM) Prof. Ts. Dr Aidah Jumahat all under one roof, shared their wisdom and inspire the audience to take action. But that's not all! The highlight of the event was a soap-making workshop where everyone got their hands dirty, using used cooking oil to create their very own eco-friendly soap bars.?
Hopping over to the East Coast, FatHopes Energy played a part in the SMK Pengkalan Chepa II 22nd PIBG General Meeting. The goal was simple yet powerful: spreading the word about the importance of recycling used cooking oil to parents, students, and teachers. We had some big shots; Tuan Haji Saipul Bahri Ab Manaf, Kota Bharu District Education Officer and Mr Arif Arman Suddin, Depot Head of FatHopes Energy Kota Bharu shared their insights. SMK Pengkalan Chepa II became a hub where the local community, students, and teachers could easily sell and exchange their used cooking oil. Double win!

Centrally, we have been on a mission to make schools eco-conscious. They've been working tirelessly to encourage schools to responsibly dispose of their used cooking oil. One of their fantastic initiatives was briefing a list of schools in the Shah Alam district in the School Recycling Campaign 2023, organized by the Department of Solid Waste Management and Public Cleaning, Shah Alam City Council. FatHopes Energy wants to get schools across Malaysia on board with this eco-friendly movement, teaching the younger generation the importance of protecting our environment.?
