Green light for congestion pricing

Welcome to Crain's New York Top Stories. This week, we're taking a deep dive into congestion pricing and what's next now that it has the official go-ahead.

New York made history this week when it became the first U.S. city to pass congestion pricing. The ambitious toll program is expected to launch in mid-June, though lawsuits against it are still pending.?

The approval sets New York up to join the likes of London, Stockholm and Milan, all of which saw better transit, reduced pollution and improved quality of life from congestion pricing.
