The Green Green Grass of Home...
Well it’s been an exciting week for Morgan Law. Not only have we finally begun to tentatively emerge from the confines of lockdown, but after 10 years tenure at our previous offices we’ve just taken up residence in our new home. And as you might imagine under the circumstances it’s not been the easiest thing to organise, so hats off to everyone involved in getting us there!
In addition to the more usual facilities you'd expect to find in an office environment, our new location also offers a distinct botanical theme, including an indoor forest, a ceiling garden and a plant powered deli. With plenty of research linking the ability of plants to actively enhance our moods, we're looking forward to being a very happy bunch of campers in our new home.
Working from home has become a main part of many employees’ lives following the coronavirus outbreak and it seems that this will likely become the ‘new normal’ for many organisations. However it’s also apparent from talking to colleagues that working from home isn’t everyone’s preferred arrangement and this week has reminded me that the benefits of the office haven't gone away. It’s definitely felt more enjoyable and in some ways even more productive bringing our teams together in person. And of course for us there is the novelty of adjusting to a new space that, whilst only a stone’s throw from our previous office, feels a million miles away in terms of the opportunities to further develop our ways of working and enhance how we interact with our customers.
I’ve personally really enjoyed dipping my toe back into some of the routine and interactions this week that I never thought I’d miss quite so much. Waiting on the platform in the rain for a delayed tube train…yeah, bring it on! The early morning banter with the TfL guy…missed you buddy! Of course, Central London is without doubt missing the daily hustle and bustle that we’re used to and feels very different, with a number of clients telling us they do not expect to return to any regularity of office life for a while yet.
But in the meantime, Morgan Law are settling into our new home and we very much look forward to inviting you to join us in our botanical haven for a safe and secure coffee or drink when the time is right. And of course, if that still feels like a bit of a novelty for now and there’s anything we can help with, please don’t hesitate to reach out for a good old-fashioned Zoom or Teams chat!

4 年Thanks Adrian Lewis. It's a good prompt of how important it is to make the "office environment" a safe, meaningful and comfortable space to become more connected.
