Greek Study on Hybrid-FTRD? shows excellent resection rate

First Greek 2 center experience on Hybrid-FTRD? shows that it enables the treatment of complex colorectal lesions not amenable to EMR, ESD or FTRD? alone

?

Key findings

  • 14 patients underwent Hybrid-FTRD? (11 EMR+FTRD?, 3 ESD+FTRD?)
  • Technical success was achieved in 100% of cases
  • Complete macroscopic resection was achieved in 100% of cases
  • Adverse events requiring surgery were n=1

?

Study details

  • Mean lesion size was 41.7mm (range 20-50mm) in the EMR+FTRD? group and 31.7mm (range 30-35mm) in the ESD+FTRD? cohort
  • 42.9% of patients (n=6) were diagnosed histologically with T1 carcinoma
  • Mean procedural time was 53.8 min.
