Greed can corrupt thought process-

Star Wars provides many themes of black and white.   When power and greed overtake a person, community, planet and galaxy bad things will happen.  I just experienced a situation where someone's pride got in the way of reality.  I always say that perception is reality.  In sales, we want to shoot for the stars but when reality (value) is unfounded by earth principles it makes people become irrational.  Emotions can be high, value can be inflated but when the facts where presented the parties could not come back to earth. Pride makes irrational judgment and in the end all parties fail unless there is business value.  Lesson- do your modeling, take emotion out of the equation and let sound business data dictate the outcome.  It takes experience, mentors and the right modeling to make sure all parties are properly served.  In a galaxy, far far away things always come back to harmony.
