The greatest year as of yet: 2019!

Hello everyone! My name is Wilka Nascimento, I have been in the U.S for fifteen years working in Hotels across the country. I'm grateful for the opportunities that I have explored and want to thank everyone for an amazing 2019 in Washington DC!

A few tips of how to have fun doing your job:

1. Always be positive! Working in a new Hotel can be exciting and challenging. Trust the power of relationships. Be open minded and willing to respect your work environment. Changes will always happen and welcome it!
2. Understand the culture of the city that you landed in.  It doesn’t matter how big or small your hotel is. Your employer opened their doors to welcome you. Be considerate and respectful.
3. Getting to understand your team is a great way to explore the strengths of the team. Be open to learn about them, share a meal with your coworkers. It’s always fun to have a potluck of yummy dishes.
4. Plant a seed of positive experiences, show your employer and colleagues your appreciation. You are representing your brand, your company and culture.
5. Attend local events and smile a lot. Share your pictures of your great times spent during your Networking activities. Create your own story and amazing memories. Life is about the simple pleasures!
