The Greatest Secret to Creativity.
Honestly, becoming really good in the creative profession is uncommon and hard, because it takes work, patience, skill, and courage. Therefore, is creativity only doled out to a special few? Don’t believe the myth there are only a very few who are "chosen" and are real, genuine creative artists. Radical, groundbreaking creative work that has become the face of the industry can be learned and developed through the right process.?
People clearly understand that if they commit to an exercise program and put in the time/work at the gym, they will grow muscles and build strength. However, for those in the creative profession, growing and getting stronger at their craft is not so clear at all. Most are seduced by shortcuts, incantations, and even alcohol and drugs to compete.
The truth is innovation, and the BIG ideas are realized through a process. New concepts are developed as a result of ideation. Successful idea generation involves exploring new experiences and learning things that are not familiar and may be uncomfortable—this is the work part of the process.
It all starts with a growth mindset, which means putting in the work and experimenting with new concepts, ideas, and strategies. This process will strengthen the brain and generate new understanding and learning that can rewire the brain to have greater insight. The practice or exercise will stretch the brain, it will find new connections and pathways, and will actually change its circuits and wiring.
