The Greatest Reward

The Greatest Reward

If you’re considering setting up your own Companionship Business, you’ll already know that you’ll be helping older people maintain their independence.

But have you thought just how much of an impact you’ll be making on their families too?

Peace of mind

Helping families to have peace of mind, knowing that their loved one is in good hands, is something that really makes our work special.

If you’ve ever had an older relative with increasing needs, you’ll understand the real concern it can cause and how it’s just so hard for families to juggle everything in their busy lives.

Whether it’s:

  • the demands of their own family
  • living too far away to pop in
  • having other care commitments
  • having a job that just isn’t flexible enough for them to be there

…you’ll find many relatives are really struggling to make sure their older family member is getting the help they need.

So, as well as clients coming to you directly, you’ll find it’s often the families that get in touch as they’re desperate for a bespoke type of support they just can’t find anywhere else.

In fact, one of the early clients in my own business, Chris, was a son looking for some help for his fiercely independent mother.

She’d been used to him popping in every few days to run errands or have a cup of tea and a chat but a new job with longer hours and extensive travelling meant he just couldn’t be there as often as he wanted.

With no need for expensive personal care, and no desire to have an impersonal and ever-changing rota of staff, both Chris and his Mum were struggling to find a way forward.

So, when he heard about our Companionship service, it was as if a weight had been lifted – we could collect his Mum’s prescriptions, call her for a friendly chat and generally be on hand if she needed anything.

And while his Mum loved her visits from her Companion Rosey, Chris was also delighted that he could relax, knowing she was in safe hands when he wasn’t available.

It’s this side of the work that really brings some of the greatest rewards. So, if you’d like to feel a real sense of purpose and make a massive difference to the lives of older people and their families,?pick a time to watch the webinar?to find out just how easy it is to get started.
